Blosum
Blosum is a five-piece band formed in Hamilton, ON, known for weaving elements of shoegaze, math rock, noise, dream pop, and folk into a sound that prioritizes songwriting and atmosphere over genre. Since releasing their debut EP Thank God You’re Here in 2023, the band has followed up with a string of singles and packed shows across Hamilton, Guelph, St. Catharines, and Toronto, all while taking a fully DIY approach to their recordings and merch.
With their new album Amaryllis, Blosum takes their sound to exciting new territory while continuing to explore the tension between delicate melodies and intricate, mathy riffs, juxtaposed with loud, lush, and immersive passages.
