Burs
Burs is named for the small things that stick with you, whose songs seek to capture just that.
Formed in 2019, Lauren Dillen (vox/guitar), Ray Goudy (vox/guitar), Devon Savas (vox/bass), and Aidan McConnell (drums) gather from a variety of musical backgrounds, blending deep folk roots with experimental sonic elements, and tactful, fluid passages of improvisation.
Their 2022 debut Holding Patterns earned praise from The Revue as “a rich and often ethereal collection of songs able to change with fluid ease”.
Since the release of their sophomore album, Burs has continued to expand their reach with radio support from SiriusXM’s North Americana and
Unplugged North, as well as features on platforms like Cups N Cakes.
Burs has toured extensively, sharing stages with Ada Lea, Case Oats, Jake Xerxes Fussell, Field Guide, Rachel Bobbitt, and Another Michael, and performing at festivals such as Winterruption, Highlands Music Festival,
Cicada Music Festival, Exclaim!’s Class of 2024, as well as recent appearances at Wavelength Music Festival and JUNOfest.
Significance, Otherness — their second full-length album — was released on Nov 21, 2025 via Birthday Cake Records.
