Sarah Good and the Bads is a psychedelic dream pop – meets mathy art rock group from Hamilton, Ontario.
Reveling in wedding heavenly, hypnotic melodies and motifs with creatively harnessed complex chaos, vocalist/guitarist Sarah Good animates her indelible songwriting with puzzle box beats from drummer Scott Gray, ethereal harmonies from Annie Shaw and the perpetual motion grooves of Adam Fritch’s fluid bass work.
Pinning comparisons on a group both so unique and instantly unforgettable is no easy feat, but think Kate Bush fronting The Wooden Stars and you’ll be in the right liminal dreamspace.
Neil Haverty is a Hamilton-born vocalist and songwriter, co-founder of secular gospel ensemble Bruce Peninsula and a busy screen composer (Wildhood, Sleeping Giant).
Haverty has unholstered a Timegun to help create live versions of his new songs, which have started dropping in 2025.
Timegun is both a blaster that shoots pure time and the name-sake of a new local rock outfit featuring members of the Deviance, Dark Mean, Bruce Peninsula, the Acoustics, Flattstreet, Twin Within, High Kites, and Skiffs.
Oct 22’s line-up will include Steven McKay, Andy Richardson, Martin Eckart, Billy Holmes, Andrew Eckart and Simon Gill. The septet have played music together in some capacity since 9th grade.
